Then I decided to give Canon a try and bought recently a Canon 6D Mark II. Honestly, I'm SO disappointed. The camera doesn't focus well at all, I'm working with a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens and I simply loose lots of photos which never happened to me with Nikon. I returned the camera to B&H and got a new one, but am still unhappy with the inconsistent forward focusing I'm experiencing. I think I'm outside of my return period and am tempted to try and have it repaired. D Re: 5D MKII - Blurry through viewfinder. Canon should offer a lock for these, or make you push in to turn. and have finer control. When two clicks look exactly the same, and the next clicks outside of them are clearly much softer, you know that there is a better position that it won't click into. wrote: Thank you for the information! When I got mine back from Canon after repairs they said there was a problem with the autofocus system and that they fixed it. The camera now works great with my only Canon lens -the Canon 100-400L Mark I , all non canon lenses need to still be micro adjusted at crazy amounts for usable photos. I sti In the days before AF microadjustment was available in firmware Canon service would take your lenses and body and adjust them; I had that done shortly after I bought my 1DM2 and several lenses in 2005. For those of you experiencing this issue have you questioned Canon service whether they would The camera wont focus in av,tv,B or m mode but will focus in automatic mode and C1,C2, and C3. A lot of my shots were at 24-30mm @ f2.8 or f3.2 and a large proportion of these were out of focus. The chosen focus point was in centre but the focus in the shots was at extreme left or right! I used the same camera body with a 70-200 F2.8 L without trouble. I am having that exact same focusing issue. I am also having issues with my photos looking fuzzy. I purchased my 6D Mark II at B&H in New York City. I am very disappointed in Canon and wish they would issue a recall on this model. CLtPz.
